As part of the 2013 Budget process, it was determined that the City of Dryden requires assistance in performing an overall review of its operations. To that end, an RFP was issued and in September 2013 the services of KPMG LLP were retained to perform this review.
The ultimate goal is for the City to review and change its operations to reflect the impacts of lost tax revenue and accumulated debt and become financially sustainable in the long term, while still providing the services that make Dryden a desirable place to live and for businesses to thrive.
The review will look at possible changes in services and programs and resources including whether specific services should be reduced, expanded, discontinued or delivered in an alternate way and whether specific services and programs are best delivered by the City, the non-profit sector or the private sector.
